Hi Janet and List, I know it's tough to keep buying software but here's one that will save you every time. It's called GoBack and what it does is use about 10% of your hard drive to keep a running record of everything you do on the computer. So, If you lose a file by deleting it accidentally or install a program that hoses your operating system and you can't remove it or you get a virus and then find out after the fact, this program will allow you to go back as much as a week and put everything back to where it was.
I have no financial interest in this company but I love the program. It has saved me SOOOOOO much time and effort and it allows me to take chances on programs, etc. that I would have shuddered at trying before. I have gotten rid of several virus's over the last few months using this program. I also use Norton AntiVirus but it's a one trick pony. GoBack will put everything right back where it was and makes you give a sigh of relief at how simple it was to get there. I think it's around 60 bucks. Street price may be less.
