It is not unusual to get some fallout of the larger particles, even with the HVAC process. The active part should still be suspended. At one time we tried to filter out any larger particles, but the filters added so much contamination, we found it made the CS unstable.
For internal use, I would simply use it as it. For topical use, you might shake it up first since the part that settled out is still effective for external use. If you have doubts, pour some into a glass, and use a laser to check the tyndall. It should be essentially unchanged.
