<< Suzy - You may have already looked at this. You have one Superfund site in Des Moines - see the EPA link here h ttp://www.epa.gov/region07/programs/spfd/nplfacts/des_moines_tce.pdf -don't know if this is close to you. Did a little surf through the Iowa EPD but they don't seem to have any ongoing case info. You might call them or email for details. You do have the right to know what is going on. Jules >> Hi Jules, yes this is close. In reading the details, found that the Des Moines ground water is contaminated, which also contaminated Des Moines drinking water with VOC's and tetrachlorethylene. Had been aware of the DICO site, but was not aware of the infiltrate into the drinking water system. This also coincides with the reported outbreak in the area of CFIDS/fibro in late 83-84. Will do some further reading and see what I can come up with on these chemicals. Was not able to figure out how to cut/paste from a PDF document. Jules, thanks for the link and information. suzy -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
