I don't believe that they use a "current control" (unless there is a maximum set at some high level) but that they measure the total current over time that is used. This relates directly to Faraday's equations of electrolysis and is equivalent to the total amount of silver released into water. I thought I saw a reference to this on one of the pages, but am unable to get back to that one... If not actually recording the amps and only using time, it says that the output is not more than 100ma, so in conductive water you could time use the time calculation and 100ma and determine your max amount of released silver. It also says output of the power converter is 12 Volts, weight of the silver electrodes is 2.7 grams. There is a typo on one page, but the drinking water amount is 35 micro grams, not 35 milli grams.
As I wrote in my previous post, it looks like it will put just enough silver into drinking water in a short period of time (35 seconds per liter) at a very low concentration .035ppm (35 micrograms per liter). This should be OK for sterilizing water and is at an extremely low level of silver. This is still within the amount of silver that is allowed in drinking water which is stated to be 50 micrograms per liter. The 10ppm made using tap water is more problematic, but they recommend that you don't ever use more than 6 Tablespoons which is 1/3rd cup. I believe this is also within the range that I once calculated for allowable silver in 3 liters of water per day. Let someone else calculate it this time... The actual generator is very interesting in the way they appear to have enclosed the anode so that the silver produced does not combine at the cathode very much during the brew time.
