Theres no nickel in pure silver electrodes so there shouldn't be any in the CS.

'Nickel Silver' is used in 'imitation silver' jewellery. It's also known as 'german silver'. Its apparently banned for making jewellery in the EC due to the allergy/toxicity problem. Some sterling silver may also contain zinc.

Many people by silver wire from 'Jewellers suppliers'. They are probably not getting pure silver. There are many grades of silver wires available that offer various properties that suit jewellers. These 'silver' wires all contain various other metals and should not be used to make CS.

Subject: CS>Cs containing nickel???

Hi all,

The statement below I came across another forum. I would like to respond to let this lady know there is no nickel in it. I would like some input with possible reference to refute her statement. Thanks.

Nickel is present in colloidal silver and many people have nickel allergies and don't realize it. I went into shock after drinking a very small amount. I urge you to do a skin-prick test after every batch for each person who will consume the tonic. -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
