Hi Mary, welcome aboard! Either of those might work, but only if they're ultrasonic or otherwise create the mist mechanically in some way -- as in rotating discs or pressurized pumps, etc.
Anything that heats the water and causes it to evaporate as steam will leave the silver in the resevoir. None will rise with the vapor. You'll in essence be re-distilling the water you started with.
