Still, this is interesting, Nandkumar. Do tell us more. As an aside, my interest in photography was sparked off when I took an old Practica with me to the Valley of Flowers in 1995. That was my first exposure (so to speak) to a SLR camera. I am assuming that the Homkund mentioned here is Hemkund which is the famous Sikh pilgrimage spot near the Valley of Flowers. The Valley itself was quite something. A five hour uphill trek from GobindGhat, which is on the road to Rishikesh. During the trek, I could barely spot a single flower, but once I reached the valley it was as if someone had spread a carpet of green and sprinkled all the colors of the rainbow upon it. Someone told me that the government hires an aircraft to fly over the valley and sprinkle it with seeds. Has anyone here been to the Valley recently? I wonder if it is still the same? Venky
