Figure out where you are staying first. Chennai Trade Center is beside a
busy highway with nothing much near it except an IT park (L&T, IBM etc) and
some not too good restaurants. You will probably get housed somewhere in
the vadapalani / guindy etc areas .. 6..10 km away from the trade center.
There are more reasonable dining options within a short haul of those
places, I guess. Figure out where you are staying first, and then let us
know.

I don't see why not. I will probably be staying around the Chennai Trade
Center. I know very little of the city. I will know about the hotel by
morning, hopefully. Somewhere close to that would be nice, unless one of
you offer to bring me to the venue and back hopefully. Autos in Chennai
are a nightmare, isn't it?
