Not sure I understand what you mean.
Look at it this way. Hotmail tied up with a group called Returnpath
(www.returnpath.net) to provide for a "trusted unsubscribe".. basically
assuring the guy who gets email that this is a legit marketer, not a
spammer, you can unsub. Many other large free webmail sites dont build
that into their systems.. only thing they all do offer is "report this as
spam". And the marketers are of the opinion that several people will simply
do that to get out of lists they signed up for, but forgot how to unsub
from them.
Yep. that was the original inspiration :) But I haven't used Gnus in a while
as my primary mua...
