assumptions about sensitivity to initial conditions? Whatever happened to
our knowledge of nonlinear dynamic systems? :-)

Astrology appears ridiculous because of the apparently low number of
parameters that can supposedly *decide* one's life... not to say anything of
this pesky thing called Free Will. It is just not very intuitive. That much
I can readily agree with. But we are nowhere close to a 'proof' against
astrology.

Statements in support of astrology demonstrate a faith in
scriptures/tradition. The statements against astrology I have heard, in this
thread and elsewhere, demonstrate ... perhaps a general reluctance to keep
an open mind? Hm?
