Correct. You start up the biz card scanner application, uncover the
camera of the phone (the main one) and click a photograph. The
DSCnnnn.JPG image of the card appears in the scanner app along with a
"Process" button - upon clicking which you get a contacts entry with
the fields filled in from the card, to be saved or discarded - in my
case, saving also syncs with the Exchange server so I get to use the
entry from Outlook as well.

It works perfectly with normal cards (ones with regular fonts and not
too many embellishments or weird symbols).
