i picked it up when i was in delhi in april, and just started reading it.
i'm quite impressed, with the (admittedly overflowing) writing style as
well the attention to detail, such as the $-Rs exchange rate in the mid 1980s.
johnny depp and russell crowe fought about the movie (planned for 2007 [2],
depp, brad pitt and warner bought rights to the novel)
has anyone else on silk read it? according to one of the blurbs, it does
for bombay what lawrence durrell did for alexandria, what melville did for
the south seas...
