Frankly most people won't care. They renamed Mumbai's main railway station from Victoria Terminus (VT) to Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). Most Mumbaikars still refer to it as VT. Also one of the oldest colleges in the city was called Victoria Jubilee Technological Institute (VJTI) and it was renamed as Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI). Most people don't bother about it and many even don't know it - including the students of that particular college. This is just political maneuvering to divide and rule (locals Vs "the outsider"). Unfortunately people don't know better. Renaming cities/street/traffic corners is a sign of incompetence. That shows the govt. does not want to deal with real issues and/or is plain incapable. The number of street/city renaming is directly proportional to the incompetence of the govt. This is just the result of an unscientific study :). --> Vinayak H -- www.livejournal.com/users/vinayakh/
