Hi Ben, I'm currently using Reeder (iPhone) and Flipboard (iPad) with Google Reader integration. Unfortunately, as far as I know, those two applications are not available outside of the Apple ecosystem. Some friends have had success with Pulse on Android tablets.
However, Reeder definitely has the two features you are now missing in Google Reader.
