Here's what we did to resolve this with two founders, and two new people joining at various times.
- Create a spreadsheet with four rows, one for each of you. - Put a column in for time spent, you can all agree on this - Agree on an hourly rate for each of you, use 'normal' rates and add the hours x rate column - See what totals you get, and percentages. Make any agreed adjustments you need to get close to the original percentage ownership and then add a column for additional cash inputs if any of the parties want to increase their share holding. You'll still get disagreements, but at least this way its all above board.
