I put them in /opt/sge/default/common/sge-gpuprolog. I think I will just have to put them on the gpu node where the users can get to them.

One could use such a syntax, but it would mean to run the script in question under the specified user account. It would be more important: who is allowed to write at the location where the locking directories are created.
