I'm unable to boot a zone after I did a sys-unconfig, how do I recover?

How do you reconfigure ZFS on the server after an OS upgrade? I have a
ZFS pool on a 6130 storge array.
After upgrade the data on the storage array is still intact, but ZFS
configuration is gone due to new OS.
Do I use the same commands/procedure to recreate the zpool, ie.
# zpool create cana

We deleted the mirror in the HW RAID, now zfs thinks device is not
available. we're using the same device name, c1t0d0. How do we recover??

Our server is hung at boot up. I tried boot -s, hangs at the same place.

Using boot, it hangs after displaying line:

So tried using "boot -v" to show more detail. It now
hangs after 4 more lines are displayed:
