Hi!
In my update to latest warrior, I came across

RRECOMMENDS. So far, so good. But for some reason, rng-tools fails
miserably on my platform, why I cannot say, because it blocks the
watchdog daemon, so before I can get logged

Hi!
I have a general, maybe dumb question. Is there a smart, recommended way
to deal with device specific data (i.e. serial number, credentials for
backend access, you name it), that is specific for *one* device, and
hence does not belong into the rootfs. I know, that there are (safe)

Hi Moritz!
You need to configure swupdate kind of like the linux kernel with
menuconfig:
bitbake -c menuconfig swupdate
do not forget to copy your config then into an bbappend to swupdate
(defconfig).
Hope that helps,

Matthias

Hi!
I am trying to write a recipe for a rather tricky component (that has
plugins and stuff). Anyhow, I cannot get bitbake not to complain that
rdepends on -dev. And if I INSANE_SKIP it,
the -dev package will get installed. But I cannot figure out which file
is responsible. I tried to ldd al
Hi!
Yes, there is, there is a meta-ros.
For your convenience:

It does work. BTW, afaik there is no yocto 3.9.0, 2.6.1 is last stable
if I am not mistaken.

Hi there,
seems like meta-java also missing a thud branch?!

Hi!
In my case, I am using coreutils and busybox. But I only need one
program of coreutils. Now, I have plenty binaries with .coreutils
installed in my image, which bloats the image (every byte counts ;) ).
Its a read-only-image, update-alternatives or package management is not
used. Is there a be
Hi!
Is there a standard way of determining the git revision of the *layer*
the recipe lives in from within the recipe itself? I know that
image-buildinfo class does something like it, but I wonder how this
could be used within a recipe.
Thanks and Regards,
Matthias

Hi!
I might be a little late to the party but ... what is the rational
