[yocto] recipe dependency on externally built binaries?

2013-07-29 Thread Brian Karcz
Hi, I'm curious if there is a way to tell a package recipe that its resulting package output is dependent on the pieces it's assembling. The scenario I have is as follows. I created a series of recipes that assemble an externally built executable, and some configurations files that are local to

[yocto] eglibc and Oracle embedded JRE compatibility

2013-07-29 Thread James Nuss
Does anybody know if eglibc is supported as a libc implementation for Oracle's embedded JRE? Since Yocto only supports eglibc rather than GNU glibc [1], I'd like to know if there are any issues running Oracle's embedded JRE on a Yocto build. I can see that the meta-oracle-java [2] layer provides a

Thanks Paul.. It worked :) Able to create SDK with qt inbuilt on issuing "bitbake -c populate_sdk core-image-minimal" , but now "bitbake -v core-image-minimal" also invoke do_populate_sdk .. Is this the expected behavior or something else? Is there anyway to clean only sdk by using bitbake command?

Hi, Is it possible to clean any dependent package from some other recipe? As an example- “bitbake core-image-minimal.bb” will build u-boot and linux package as a part of dependent package. Is it possible to clean u-boot and linux by making changes in core-image-minimal.bb recipe? Thanks and Reg
