Well there are obviously problems on the controllers because there are
DB connection errors in the logs.
You could try using --os-compute-api-version 2.34 to avoid the RPC
timeout but that kind of error is generally symptomatic of bigger
problems, like failures connecting to the conductor or sched

I'm just going to invalidate this since if you're using microversion <
2.34 you'll get a 400 because of the UnableToMigrateToSelf error from
conductor and if you're using >= 2.34 you'll get a 202 response but the
operation will fail and a fault will be recorded, there would just be
more work to do,
I'm going to invalidate this because the code being pointed out is just
dev/test scripts, not production runtime code. It can be fixed if
someone wants to restore and rework the patch but it's super low
priority IMO.

>From the logs I see cinder.auth_type = None so the [cinder] section of
the nova configuration is not configured for a service user to act on
behalf of the user to detach and delete the volume. With
reclaim_instance_interval>0 the periodic task in the compute service
will delete the server and the
