xrandr panning feature status

Hi everyone： I found xrandr panning feature failed in Ubuntu12.04 Ubuntu11.10 but success in Ubuntu10.04. Someone have already reported the bug in the buglists, I want to know is it fixed in the xorg trunk? Or xorg will drop panning feature later, Thanks very much in advance!
