Hi Sergio, Thanks for your response. Yum distro-sync only changes some irrelevant (my humble judgement) packages - see bottom list. Notice, that Cadence ( http://www.cadence.com/ ) is installed at another host, which is Centos 5, i.e. it is not a local installation. I have no reason to believe,

VNC is my current temporary replacement solution. But I definitely prefer X, which is much more integrated in my desktop and work much better on multiple screens. If I cannot make X work in Fedora 19, then I plan to install Fedora 18 instead. VNC is not a satisfying solution to me. On 5 September
