Just to add on top of this... I was a bit too optimistic. The PDF rendering
fails for assemblies with an Apache-FOP fatal exception: "fo:block" not a valid
child of "fo:root".

The assembly document and all the topics seem valid documents, The Web outputs
are also correct.
