Successfully worked out how to use glossgroup to make glossentries easier to
manage, and as usual XXE just discreetly supports whatever I'm (legally) trying
to do.
At output time, though, something in the conversion is numbering the group
titles: I'm getting
1. Numerics
2. A - D
