Successfully worked out how to use glossgroup to make glossentries easier to manage, and as usual XXE just discreetly supports whatever I'm (legally) trying to do.
At output time, though, something in the conversion is numbering the group titles: I'm getting 1. Numerics 2. A - D 3. E - K 4. L - R 5. S - Z where what I'd prefer is just Numerics A - D E - K L - R S - Z The document conversion parameter for numbering is currently set to "topic fig table"; is there a tweak that will prevent numbering of glossgroups?
