I'm trying to do the exact same thing. In my case the browsedlg is not
showing either though.

On your button that launches the BrowseDlg you have to set the
properties up for that dialog first. I don't have the source to
BrowseDlg handy, but its using an indirect property to control which
property gets set by the browsing. An indirect property means that
there's a property whose value is

I am sure this is simple but I've been banging my head over this for hours

I placed two PathEdits and two PushButtons to their right.
Each button ( on the right of those labels ) should spawn a BrowseDlg.
