Is the PatchBaseLine Id in the .wxs the same as the -t argument in pyro ? It
needs to be.

I'm still trying to track down the PYRO0252 error from Pyro. I think it may be
due to the ComponentRef element(s) in the PatchFamily element of the WSX source
file. All the samples are very, very simple with just one component. My setup
has many, many components.
I found in the documentation of
that ties it all together.
Any help or clues or pointers to other tutorials that use more descriptive
names would be EXTREMELY appreciated. I'm already two weeks late getting this
patch out!
Thanks,
John

William,
We have seen serious problems with this merge module. I think there's an
unavoidable problem with per-user installations if you use it. In at least one
of our setups, we use an executable file to install the VS 2008 support,
instead of the merge module.
I can find out the details for

If you're using .pcp fi
ed at the end of the patch
creation analysis? I guess I would have to do this in the new setup, since I
really shouldn't be changing the "reference" setup for the target product.

Hi,
I have worked my way through understanding most of the things left out of or
incorrect in the "Patch Building" page of Authoring (at
http://wix.sourceforge.net/manual-wix2/patch_building.htm). (I've entered a bug
on the page with what I've found along the way.)

I've found some unclear items, and at least one error in the page at
http://wix.sourceforge.net/manual-wix2/patch_building.htm. I don't see any
"feedback" link, or commentary thread on that page. So new-user question #2 is,
how/where can I submit feedback on pages like this one?
Thanks,

Hi,
I've been using WIX indirectly through a setup/installer product, but now I'm
trying to make product patch using some instructions that they pointed out to
me at http://wix.sourceforge.net/manual-wix2/patch_building.htm.
Ultimately, I may have some specific questions, but right now I'm just
