300k seems about right (my Installer is 1.4 MB - downloading all
MSIs/EXEPackages).
It /does /take awhile for Burn to boot up itself and launch the custom BA
though. But like Neil said, a splash screen does the trick. Add it inside
the element, and close it when your BA has finished loading up. I
Is this folder empty? C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\ApplicationData\Package Cache\
It should be for a clean install (the errors all refer to packages under
this location).
It looks like you have many SBLInstallers.exe under different GUIDS in there
causing the error.
Make sure the TEMP fold
It sounds like you have an old installation that wasn't removed properly and
need to clean the following place in the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Installer \ Dependencies
You will probably find your packages here - go ahead and delete them. Burn
uses this place to store dependencies for upgrade

Thanks for you reply. I'm going to investigate that possibility, but I think
it's unlikely we have the same cause of this issue (I don't think this MSI
has several features to select from).

I've tested some more and during installation and upgrade I checked the
Installer/Dependencies location in the registry.
During installation, all packages are correctly put there as dependent to my
installer.
During upgrade, all packages - except one - are put there as dependent to my
installer.

I have an odd problem. It's not /really/ related to Burn and I believe the
problem lies with the MSI - but I think (hope) you can help me out.
My scenario is this:
When I upgrade the Bootstrapper one of the MSI Packages is always detected
as *not* having a dependency to the old Bootstrappe
Thanks Rob. I'll get us working with the new 3.7 version and its updating
facilities instead of looking for a hackish way to solve it. With a little
luck, you'll release the stable version before we need to ship

We have the following scenario: We need to deliver our Installer on a DVD.
The Installer will download the installation packages from our web server.
By the time our DVD reach our users, the installation packages will have
