I think the problem is related to Macs being case-insensitive, so under
/Users/Shared/weewx/bin
There's already a directory called "Cheetah" so when
prompt> sudo -H python3 -m pip install Cheetah3

I’ve replaced the vantage.py script and I no longer get bogus values for
non-existent sensors, however, I get “N/A” instead.
Doesn’t bother me at all.
