That driver was written for python2.x and that's long gone now. It was never upgraded but there is a fork of it that was rejigged to use Python3.x and tweaked for the weewx 4.x versions. It relies on the module python3-six (that's available in Debian 12) https://github.com/chaunceygardiner/weewx-

[weewx-user] weewx / Vantage driver crash?

Yesterday afternoon weewx stopped functioning, it looks like there's an issue with the Vantage drivers? (See journalctl snippet below). System is Raspberry Pi 4 running Bookworm. I've tried rebooting but get the same issue with being unable to wake up the Vantage console. The console is "alive"

hi @ all! i use the weewx-wdc skin from: https://github.com/Daveiano/weewx-wdc and the weewx-dwd "plugin" to collect forecasts from "deutscher wetterdienst". https://github.com/roe-dl/weewx-DWD this works after a many trys very good. but the temperatures for the daily forecast are not shown
