I didn't find precise information about what need a vnc server to work.
I want to install a vnc server on a QNX6 platform (I know that vnc clinet/server
exists for this platform). I don't have a X server, such as XFree already
installed on it and I don't really understand what 'xvncserver runs as

Okay, from your description, it is hard to pinpoint the problem.
If you have X installed and configured, you
