This isn't a very elegant solution, but it may work for you. Assuming you
have MS Word on the client machine:
1. Open Word
2. Hold down the shift key and type the first letter of any word (e.g, "s")
3. Release the shift key and type the rest of the word (e.g. "ONICS")
followed by a space.
4. Wor

I have installed VNC on my system & want to get it to loopback to my machine

to accomplish this.
Many thanks.

I am happily & successfully using VNC to enable Windows desktops and IBM
Network Stations to run a GUI application on our Linux server. I am using
vncserver in -inetd mode, so it starts a fresh instance of the server for
each connection, and then terminates the server when the client disconnects.
Hi...
I am a student doing some analysis on VNC. Hope you can help...
I have two questions on the last bullet point of the feature list in README

In there it says:

Have you given the netware server permission to use the display? man

What you need to do is go to an xterm that already is displaying in the Xserver
that you want to display your Netware windows in, and do the xhost + from there.
This is because you can only open up permissions from a trusted host. This
window will already have a $DISPLAY variab

I am a newbie but I've gotten WinVNC installed on another 2000 Professional

That worked great. Thanks.
I thought I would be able to have the servers send their x windows directly
to VNC's xserver in seperate sessions, then connect to those displays.
Is there any way to allow that without first going into the session and
doing the xhost + stuff? Just so it's there from t
Just put the xhost command in the xstatup file in the .vnc directory. This
is what I do.
