The users know that the computer can be monitored. But they don4t need to know
when they are beeing monitored because the shutdown vnc.

The AuthHosts and QuerySetting options are set using the Registry.
Instructions for this can be found in the documentation and the FAQ.

software as soon as it comes out, I wait a few weeks first. So when the new
release of Winvnc came out (R9), I waited. I have since updated a few of my
win98/nt machines to R9. But I seem to be experiencing a pro

With DebugLevel=12 and DebugMode=2 I get a WinVNC.log in the C:\Windows
directory with the following. When I select Close, the last line of 'closing socket'
appears, and when I look at the process list from Ctrl-Alt-Del, Winvnc is still there.

manage multiple .vnc files.
You can get VNC Connector at http://cardtable.sourceforge.net/tcltk .
Put this executable and your .vnc files in the same directory, then launch
the executable.
Be sure to run the Select Viewer
This sounds like you put it in the Startup folder. In that case, the VNC
server won't start until a user with that in their Startup folder logs in.
Log in and go to Start->Programs->VNC->Administrative Tools->Install WinVNC
Service, then reboot and try to log in again.

logo in the top left corner of the screen (the VNC "system menu"). Click on
the option "save connection info as". Save the file with an appropriate
