I have installed VNC under windows 2000 and it is very impressive. The one
problem I have is that I cannot get the mainframe enter key to work
(actually R-CTRL) under the IBM Personal Communications package (PCOM) which
emulates mainframe 3270 sessions. I have changed the registry enries on both

I'll take a wild stab at this one.
Because the password for VNC is not set, maybe.

I am running XVNC 3.3.3r2 on a Solaris 7 box. I successfully set up the
-inetd switch with multiple ports for different X server resolutions (multiple
services, each with a different -geometry setting), per an old message found
in the archives.
I can connect on any of these ports. The vncviewer
try this:
example
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3]
"AuthHosts"="-:?10:?32"
"QueryTimeout"=dword:003c
"ConnectPriority"=dword:0001
"QuerySetting"=dword:0002

Hi, Jeff,
I'm way behind on the mailing list...Did you try building using the
instructions at my Web site, http://www.csun.edu/~swalton/VNC ? If not,
please try them. If yes, I'd be interested in knowing where/how it
failed. One thing not on the site right now: the HP-distributed version

OK. I've completed my port from the TridiaVNC Win32 vncviewer code tree to a PocketPC
(CE 3.0) version of TridiaVNC 1.5beta.
This is most directly of interest to the Tridia group, but I didn't know if anyone at
the original ORL labs would be interested in how I worked around the lack of C++

Thanks for the responses everyone. It's a strange problem to be sure, I'm
not running a "network" as such. Simply a cable modem connection to the
internet. From my work PC I'd like to access my desktop at home. Yet with
my version of Windows ME the applet will not initialize at all, no error

[Possibly this should be in the FAQ. It doesn't come up very
often on the list, but two or three people have sent me
emails directly. I'll add it to my VNC page as well.]
