I'm no windows expert but surely someone must have an idea how this works...
Perhaps pcAnywhere has a completely different 'hooking' mechanism?

We need to know which OS you're using it on, which version of VNC you're
running and the circumstances under which you installed it - a service or an
application?

Hi,
Ive imp the Dual Screen Patch into our WinVNC agent and I found up that on
certain configures it doesnt work.
When your top left offset is not (0, 0), then only the first monitor is
updated when connecting to the agent.
In order to reproduce the bug in Dual Monitor environment (I have Matr
Yes, just download a firewall like zone-alarm (or ics does it in win98se if
you don't open up the port) and make sure that access to port 5800 is
closed, this will disable the java server, now if you want to disable the
vncviewer as well, you need to disable port 5900.

pcAnywhere replaces MSGINA.DLL which handles the logging in. I suspect this
might have something to do with it. and is the reason why pcAnywhere is
no b*** good to me!

There is an aption in vncviewer that allows shared sessions.

pcAnywhere replaces a load of the system DLLs, so yes, it hooks in a very

Sometimes I'm kinda slow on the uptake, but I've recently re-installed WINE
on my Linux partition, and a thought occurred to me -- since the big
problem with writing a GDI32 wrapper DLL is learning about all of the
undocumented exported functions and their parameters, why not take the work

Either start the server (Xvnc) from /etc/dt/config/Xservers or start it
with the -query flag.

There is a machine here that has Micro Focus Work Bench (basically an
environment that emulates a IBM mainframe, db2, cics, etc). Whenever I
connect to that machine the character display does not refresh properly. Is
there someting in the server setting that I could change to make it work? I

When connecting to a machine that has micro focus workbench, the enter key
is not mapping properly. Do anyone have a clue as to why this would be
different that the other machines.

I have absolutely no idea if it will help, but I'll ask just in case...
1. Is the Server running in App mode or as a Service?
2. Have you clicked
Hi, I just joined this list, so apologies if this has been dealt with ad
nauseum ...
I want to run vncserver on a Solaris 2.7 system, with clients on Windows. I
want to use the Solaris CDE.
1) Is there anything documented about how to set this up? If so, I'll read
that and see how I get on.
Is there a way to have vnc disable the screensaver and the password on a
win9x pc when you make a connection. I have some remote offices that have
the screen saver with the password protection and they leave and I can't get
on the computer b/c I don't know the password.
Thanks,

Are you running any kind of firewall. For example, is zonealarm, blackice,
or other program of this type installed?
