Hi,
Thanks a lot, I've get a root's X desktop, but I can4t not see the
aplication that my users are running ( (this aplication runs over user
SADAMA, not root and display 0); It's possible or not?
Thanks again.

Below is my original post to the list. I'm struggling with this one -
another list user suggested it might be good to write a feature into WinVNC
where a connection acceptance is not required if the machine is not logged
into Windows NT. Anyone prepared to pick up the gauntlet?
Cheers

Both your issues *may* be resolved by using a different Mac viewer. I
assume you're using the AT&T viewer right now, which is known to be
seriously broken.
Here's a Carbon-based viewer which I use fairly regularly and appears to
work quite well. It's not flawless, but you should find it worth a

You use the same vncviewer somewhere:10

Does anyone know what is executed for obtaining the KDE 2.0 desktop using
XFree86 4.0?
I would like to setup my ~/.vnc/xstartup file so that vncserver shows me a
similar desktop as when I logon directly using XFree86 4.0 and KDE 2.0.
I used this method as recommended in the FAQ under Mandrake 6.

It is true that KDE 2.0 gets confused if you try to run
two copies under the one username. This is a nuisance
for vnc users. I notice

You need to have ports 5800 and 5900 open (not 5906). Can you connect

I am using the rpm that comes with RedHat 7.0 and have noticed something
strange.
When I start a vncviewer session from the Gnome Run command option, I
get an Xwindow prompt for servername and then for the password. The
strange part is that when I type the password in, it displays as clear
text.
Yes i can connect with native viewer from lan
By the way, can i connect via internet with native viewer ?
