Dan,
As I thought. What you are seeing is Xvnc returning an error when it
starts. Check the settings you entered, looking closely at the inetd or
xinetd settings. Also check the version of your VNC. Older versions did
not support launching as an inetd process.
My best guess at this point
Dan,
Check your connection by telneting from windows to your redhat machine
running VNC. Just run 'telent 192.168.0.1 5950', replacing 192.168.0.1
with the redhat machines ip. If you see anything beside "RFB 3.0 3.0" then
VNC has a configuration problem. Let us know what you see.
