I am trying to get the JavaVNC viewer to work but am having some problems.
I have installed JDK 1.3 for Linux which is really Java 2.0, but I am unclear
where to put the classes and jar file so that my Apache web server could send
out and start up the JavaVNC viewer.

You might find that the Red Hat Rawhide vnc-server package helps.
It provides a file /etc/sysconfig/vncservers which can be edited to
provide VNC sessions

What is your $PATH, and where are the files?
