I don't think you need a web server for this. It is designed to be used through your web browser. First you can test it within your local network by starting your vncserver and from a web browser on the host machine type in: http://localhost:58xx
where xx is the X desktop number (default for the first vncserver started is 1 which would be 5801) once this is established you can replace localhost in the above url with the name or ip address of the vncserver host. use mozilla or netscape as Opera does not include java and konqueror does not work completely. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hello All, > > I am trying to get the JavaVNC viewer to work but am > having some problems. > > I have installed JDK 1.3 for Linux which is really > Java 2.0, but I am unclear > where to put the classes and jar file so that my > Apache web server could send > out and start up the JavaVNC viewer. > > Has anyone had any experience with setting up a > similar collection of components? > > Any help would be greatly appreciated. > Best Regards, > Lonnie > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] > with the line: > 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY > See also: > http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html > --------------------------------------------------------------------- ===== SI Reasoning [EMAIL PROTECTED] "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
