I don't think you need a web server for this. It is
designed to be used through your web browser. First
you can test it within your local network by starting
your vncserver and from a web browser on the host
machine type in:
http://localhost:58xx

where xx is the X desktop number (default for the
first vncserver started is 1 which would be 5801)

once this is established you can replace localhost in
the above url with the name or ip address of the
vncserver host.

use mozilla or netscape as Opera does not include java
and konqueror does not work completely.
