I had the same problem; enter the IP address of the host rather than the

have the latest client build, even if it is designated a beta release.

Hi people,
I installed VNCServer on a Debian machine that has a 'ABNT12'

except that anything I type is translated wrong on the remote machine,

I have installed VNC to run as a service on a Win2000 machine. I can log in
with VNC only when a user is logged it. Once the local user logs out, I am
disconnected. How can I make VNC run at all times... even when NO user is
logged in locally.

Basically. The main bug that it fixes is an Xvnc crash in the font
server code. (The reason it shows up now is that I switched the

You're right on both counts: I didn't understand your environment, and I
didn't realize those capabilities were present in WinVNC.
I don't see any such options in Xvnc. You may end up having to hack the
viewer, as I did.

Thanks for responding. In the documentation for WinVNC they have a property for
disabling the mouse and keyboard for any new incoming connections. Per the
documentation, this is a property for the server. I probably didn't word my e-mail
