Make sure that "vncconfig" is running in some form- Most of our users
have "vncconfig -nowin" in their xstartup file
Here's what we have here (Takes care of Linux or Solaris):
#!/bin/sh
vncconfig -nowin &
if [ "`uname`" = "Linux" ]
then
/usr/bin/startkde &
else
/usr/dt/bin/Xsess

I'm trying to benchmark video over a Windows VNC connection- The MPEG
video refuses to display over the VNC session. It displays on the
console, but all that displays on the shares is a black screen... The
Mplayer counters all display, but no video.

One of the beuaties of RVNC Enterprise is that it can use the
authentication method already installed in your environment (NIS, NIS+,
LDAP, AD)- User changes the password on the domain, VNC uses it..

If the RealVNC Server is on a Windows machine, then yes- The

We have our users start up their own vncservers. The user initially logs
into the machine (telnet, ssh, etc.) and issues a vncserver command:
vncserver -geometry 1024x768
They will then be given the following info:
