patching/applying enhancements very unefficient.

Hi,
Could you tell me why vncserver doesn't support 24bit-per-pixel depth?
Are you going to implement this depth in newer versions of vnc?
Regards, Adam Tkac

There's no way how do it now. Xvnc doesn't support Xinerama extension.

Not now. Server has to support RandR extension but it is not developed
yet (something exists on http://www.freesoft.org/software/vncrotation/
but I never tested it). You have to stop that session and start it
again with new resolution.

It is part of X server tree (http://www.x.org/). But it is pretty hard
to compile Xvnc when you know nothing about X source code and
compilation.

As I wrote above building contains many hacks and the best way to
understand it is read vnc.spec file (part of source RPM). Btw are you
able to build Xvnc without that patch?

It looks that you are using XFree codebase, not X.org. If you doesn't
have X.org codeb
gt;From my point of view RealVNC doesn't care about free vnc edition
so this is main point why it still uses old XFree. I can't see any
advantage of this approach.

Are you sure that patch is security related? I don't see any security
implication.
