Hi,
I have been looking into using TightVNC on a fairly large
number of machines and I was hoping that someone could, if at all
possible, spare a moment to answer a couple of feature queries I have
regarding the software:
1. Does TightVNC support Windows Logon Authentication

TightVNC is based on our old VNC 3 codebase, which doesn't support native

I downloaded the free version current about 4 months ago, which
I think is still the current version. VNC worked perfectly on
the target machine under the previous version (though that
version had the security issue). There is only one user logged
in (though user switching is enabled..)
I have tight-vnc running on my mom's WinME [DSL] computer 40 miles away.
I have tried various vnc-viewers running here on my Mac. I have
port-forwarding enabled. I am thru DSL Modem to Airport-Extreme Wireless

I can run Vine-Serv
Magesh,
As I said in my last mail, there is no such option to vncviewer as "-xrm".
What is it that you are actually trying to do?
Thanks,

I'm running the free distribution of RealVNC 4.1.2. I installed the
Solaris 9 Recommended patch bundle I downloaded on Feb 21, 2007 onto
my Solaris 9 systems last night. This was primarily done to get the
updates for the DST changes. Now, we're having trouble using VNC.
Here's the arguments
Robert,
Firstly, I'd strongly recommend using a version of VNC with in-built session
security such as VNC Personal or Enterprise Edition, or running VNC through
a secure tunnelling protocol between the two systems.
At a guess, I'd say its most likely that you have tried to connect to the
server c

I found the solution. I needed to backout the following patches.
112807-18
112661-11
112785-58
The first two depend upon the last one, which was the culprit. Patch
112785-58 includes a broken X font server, which would crash. inetd
would occasionally kill the fs.auto service and then restart
Dear VNC List,
I'm writing with a question I've seen several people post on VNC message
boards but I've never seen resolved.
Here's the problem: I can successfully access my Desktop PC via VNC when I
connect from within my LAN (e.g. connecting via an internal IP address -

Chris,
Change the Java Viewer Port also to 5900.
