What test tool are you using? I'm not sure this is the best way to test something on the remote machine, but you might try slowing down the execution of the script so that vnc can keep up with it. I know for Rational Robot you can set the delay between script command lines, or insert delays in th

About the only thing I can think of that vnc changes is the load on the machine and the network connection to it. This might affect speed of opening dialog boxes and other responses. Could your script be failing on that? To test, perhaps you could make something that kick's off the test after 5

Easy answer. The RFB protocol picjs up the video information before it gets to the videocard. this menas that the Video overlay is not picked up as this is done at the card. For vidoe not using overlay, VNc refresh rates are just to slow to mantain a stream( this is the reason Quake sux in a re
