Thanks

If it's between M$Windows machines, best use file-sharing.

I use an external FTP site, or maybe you can use email?

Just a suggestion...

What test tool are you using? I'm not sure this is the best way to test
something on the remote machine, but you might try slowing down the
execution of the script so that vnc can keep up with it. I know for

I asked an earlier question regarding use of VNC for remote control of the

Hello,
I agree. If the person is asking a question that should be posted to another

By default, WinVNC servers disallow any vncviewer connections from the same machine.
For testing purposes, or, potentially, when using multiple instances of WinVNC on
Windows Terminal Server, this behavior is undesirable. Setting this registry entry to

Sdedo,
Are you running MAC OS X? If so, it's running a BSD variation (I can't
remember if it's FreeBSD or OpenBSD...) and may be running a local
firewall. Check for ipchains or iptables.
Anybody running a Mac that can give him specifics? I've only used RedHat.

About the only thing I can think of that vnc changes is the load on the machine and
the network connection to it. This might affect speed of opening dialog boxes and
other responses. Could your script be failing on that? To test, perhaps you could make
something that kick's off the test after 5

Easy answer. The RFB protocol picjs up the video information before it
gets to the videocard. this menas that the Video overlay is not picked

Curious, why do you just need to control the desktop session? There are
patchs/add-ons to do this in VNC. Are you going from X 2 X?

Ever hear of native SMB file sharing? Or tftp?
Sorry, but a little bit of homework ( and thought ) would
have produced many, many options available to you as a
windows user, even a version of vnc that support file transfer..

Hello,
I am wondering if there is a way to stop the error popup when using VNC
in a non password mode. I have a lab here that I am setting all of my
clients up with the AuthRequired key setup so there will be no passwords
needed, but I get a popup every time the services start. It s not a

I modified the file "vnc-3.3.7-unixsrc/Xvnc/programs/Xserver/hw/vnc/kbdptr.c" for
german keyboard.
Can anybody help to fix the following problems:
- The key <,> in the numeric blocks sometimes work und sometimes not. Same with the
light "Num".
- The -keys for the special characters doesn't work.
Has anyone experience the problem (maybe fixed) where
vncviewer does not poll when a message is received in

vnc to poll the window and then the emails will

I am not sure if this is an Outlook issue where it
