Charles,
I am not using port 80 for this purpose. But I have seen a lot of questions

You might try one of the alternative VNC servers, such as TightVNC.

Hi Liana
Thanks for the response.
What I have is a VNC server running on one pc (NT). If I lock the
screen and go to another pc and start a client to the IP of the
server, I don't see anything at all happen.
Is there a setup or something I'm missing?
Thanks,

Your Netgear router needs to be configured, refer to it's user manual which
should contain port mapping configuration details.

Hi all,
I just started looking at VNC yesterday and wonder if anyone can

I find that I cannot connect to a pc when the monitor is locked.
This is a problem because I can not leave the monitor unlocked

Is there a way around this or am I stuck?

WinVNC won't currently deal with multiple monitors but the new codebase
does take multiple monitors into account. So I'm afraid at this stage
all I can say is "watch this space".

The registry key for the default password is as follows,
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\Default]
"Password"=hex:f2,96,9a,*,*,*,*,*
Set the password on your machine and export the above key into a reg
file.
Then import the key to the clients registries.
Hope this helps

On Windows 2000 you can set the display number to 4294961476 and this
