I am thinking of trying to switch my Action Button to something other than
Silent Mode. It worked so well on all my other phones, but not so much with
this regular button instead of the little lever that the phones used to have.

really sharp, sighted Verizon lady said for me to notice, that it vibrates
more, when turning on Silent Mode and not as muc

my 16E since I received it on the first day it was available and have
used it to read my laptop screen and other text and it works even better
than my SE 2020. You will be fine.

For reading the computer screen, or any other text, the cameras going back to the early iPhones that were only 5 megapixel camera did fine. The fancy cameras on the newer phones are for photography for sighted persons. The newer cameras will give better detail when photographing outdoor scenes, but
Fanus I know someone that upgraded from a 13 mini to a 16 E they said the
camera works great and the battery life is wonderful. I downgraded from a 15
pro max to the 16E. I will be sticking to the E line of phones for the
foreseeable future. I think you will be perfectly happy with a 16E.
