Carolyn, You really need to read the release notes on app updates. All the functions are still there, including light detection, they are just organized differently. At the bottom, there are now three tabs. Read, which is usually selected by default and the Read tab now combines short text, document, and handwriting. The second tab is Describe, This has the browse photos, recognizes faces, and scene description where you take a picture that it will then describe. The last tab, is More. Double tap that, and then below the tabs you will find the old picker for the other channels. Yu touch whatever one is the default and flick up with one finger to go through the channels. Under settings, you can reorder them and even put light detection as the first one so that when you double tap on more, it immediately recognizes if there is light, etc. HTH,

I can say that somehow or other, Seeing A I is different than it was on my 14. I don't know if I'll ever fine Light Detector, but probably won't need it. I have been having a problem with mine with incoming calls not ringing. Someone told me to make sure Audio Ducking was on, which I did, but have been happy with it off, because I have been hearing Voiceover better, when I am on the phone. When it comes to somebody saying they are not happy, you really would have to ask them specifically what exactly they are not happy about. I assume if somebody upgraded from a 13 Pro or 14 Pro to a 16E that they may find the camera actually might not be as good on the 16E for photography. I currently have an iPhone 11 and I consider the 16E. I often read my PC screen with Seeing AI on the iPhone 11, so I am interested to know if the 16E is not good enough for reading the PC screen?
