Hi Chela, Yes, Do not disturb is one of the named setting groups within Focus mode but the overall mode used to be called Do not disturb and I still think that is a better name for the overall mode as opposed to Focus. Alan Lemly Sent from my iPhoneOn May 14, 2024, at 10:55 AM, Chela Robles wrote:

Sandy, I'm with Sieghard and Richard on this one. It sounds as if Focus has been turned on on your device. Why they ever renamed Do not disturb to Focus is beyond me but they did. Focus contains the ability to have various named settings such as Sleep, Do not disturb, Work meeting, etc. You can che

Hi, check your mute switch, which is above the two volume controls. Make sure that it is situated toward the front face of the phone. If it isn’t flip it up with your fingernails so that. it is near the front face of the phone.voiceover may say ring mode or silent mode when you flip the mute switch

Hi,
I've certainly had that issue before, and my guess has always been that when
the call was placed, I was in a spot where cell coverage wasn't good. It's the
only explanation that makes sense to me since I've never had the iPhone do that
under any other circumstances. If I've got good bars, t

I'm having a strange issue. Every once in a while I'll find I have a missed
call and sometimes a voicemail and I'll think to myself, huh?
Good to hear. Just to make you all aware Do not Disturb can be set on a
schedule, which can be turned on and off in the settings. The schedule
can be any time during a 24 hour period and will start and stop at these
times on a daily basis.

Thanks to all who weighed in on the question I asked regarding my husband's
iPhone 4S not ringing while his screen was locked! It did turn out to be that
he had "Do Not Disturb" turned on. Fixing this did indeed fix the problem!
The odd thing is that neither of us uses the "Do Not Disturb" fe

Thank goodness I don't have that problem as my phone is generally locked all
day at work and I still get phone calls, some days too many considering only
a very few people have my number.

I hope this is not a bug as just got my 4s yesterday and you are the
only one with this issue it seems. For now check that do not disturb is
not on. If it is then all calls unless they are in your favorites or
they repeatedly ring within about three minutes will go straight to
VoiceMail.
