It sounds as if Focus has been turned on on your device. Why they ever renamed Do not disturb to Focus is beyond me but they did. Focus contains the ability to have various named settings such as Sleep, Do not disturb, Work meeting, etc. You can check or set up these under Settings, Focus. As Sieghard posted, you can check whether Focus is currently turned on within the Control Center. I access the Control Center by placing focus on something in the topline status bar such as the time and doing a 3 finger swipe up. This will open the Control Center screen and you can follow Sieghard's excellent instructions to check it. Good luck.
