If you have already your rotor positions stored then you don't need the plugin at all (which does not work well with vdr 1.7.x, when you get it to work it turns vdr into a rather unstable program) the rotor plugin needs re-writing in my opinion. Just setup your diseqc.conf like this: S19.2E 11700

The sat channel TVE1 on 19e changed transponder a few days ago. I have a timer recording something on Thursdays. So yesterday vdr would crash within 3 seconds of starting (once the recording was to be on) I had to edit timers.conf to disable the timer event and then and only then edit the channel

You assumed incorrectly. I killed xine and edited the file while xine was not running. in fact the line gui.dropped_frames_warning:0 is now permanently in the config file but still I get the notifications (or at least some of them) Nobody reading these lines knows what part of xine´s source code
